A peshtemal is a traditional towel used in baths. A staple of Ottoman culture, dating back hundreds of years, the (pestemal) was originally designed to help individual bathers have their privacy. This Turkish cotton is highly absorbent, peshtemals dry faster than thicker towels.
Whether it's poolside, beachside, out of the bath or even in the kitchen, I love these peshtemal towels! The Turkish Towel brand is a little more than I'd like to spend for my guys to grab and use too, so I found some great alternatives on Amazon! The beize, (navy) blue, and gray pictured above are my color go-to's!
These towels also look wonderful draped over the shoulders. And they double up nicely as home textiles like table runners, sofa throws and even beach blankets.
